I was thinking of studying for a certificate in this field but wasn't sure. This book provided all the information I needed to decide to follow that course, especially information about the new ICD-10 codes and affiliated organizations. I joined one as a student.

Easy to understand book and would recommend to users looking to gain an understand of the medical and billing and coding field.
This book, unlike the other Dummies books does not actually get into the specifics of coding. It tells you an overview of the profession but, if you already know this is what you are pursuing and why, then this book is a waste of money and will not futher you along your journey .
I found this book to be a helpful augment to my CPC exam studies and it also gave me a broad range of information such as career choice advantages and disadvantages, regulatory information not found in my CPT/ICD10/HCPS books and more.It is well written, easy to understand, and I'm glad I bought it.
